Airport Hustle & Bustle

I sit in the airport writing this post, because next time when I think I need four hours to get through the airport I hope someone tells me I don’t.

We did it. We packed all our stuff, walked through the airport, got ourselves checked in, and will be boarding a flight pretty soon to head over to China, and then finally make it to Thailand.
Up above is a picture of everything that I brought with us (not including Jon’s clothes) and if you know me this is an absolute win. My mom is an over packer. I would blame her but on vacations we would get a knock on our door, followed by “Dawnelle do you have (ketchup/scotch tape/lint roller/other ridiculous item)?” And she always did. People knew she could provide anything they needed when it wasn’t available on our cruise, at the local market, or in our beach house. So she has her reasons to bring three suitcases. But I just like clothes. For this trip however, I wanted to pack light. It made the traveling easier and less stressful and I figured it would just be a good idea.
And I did it. I packed everything that Jon and I will be needing in two carry on suitcases. We have a big suitcase to fill up with gifts, but everything else fits in our two little suitcases. Contact me if you need any help ever creating a packing list that only has the bare minimums. I’m basically a pro now!

And off we go. Sitting in the airport is always such a good experience. You get to watch as kids excitedly run around wearing Disney clothing. You can see the adults who are definitely dressed to go to Hawaii. There are reunions and goodbyes. But today there is an anxious newly married couple, waiting for a flight, incredibly excited about what this month will hold.
Look forward to these next few weeks as we post lots of pictures and tell you all about our crazy adventures. If anything, it will be entertaining!
